The ESSENTIAL ARTS Toolkit is organized into three "Big Ideas"

2) How the Arts Communicate (Performance and Exhibits)
3) How the Arts Shape and Reflect Culture (History and Culture)
Arts assessments incorporate creating, performing, and responding (critical thinking). The Toolkit has been adopted by the Hawai`i Department of Education and is made available to private schools in Hawai`i.
